Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD in Serious Mental Illness
Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) for PTSD in SMI is a specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy that has been effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD that have developed after experiencing a variety of traumatic events CPT is generally delivered over 12 sessions and helps individuals learn how to challenge and modify unhelpful beliefs related to the trauma. In so doing, the patient creates a new understanding and conceptualization of the traumatic event so that it reduces its ongoing negative effects on current life.
Dr. Pallavi Nishith has 21 years of experience working in the field of trauma and PTSD. She is currently working in the capacity of Staff Psychologist at Places for People, Inc., and in this capacity is conducting clinical, research, and training work in Trauma, and PTSD in Serious Mental Illness (SMI).
***ONLY therapists who are licensed or provisionally licensed and under supervision should practice CPT. Therefore, we ask that PLPC and LMSW therapists sign-up for this training. ***
The price of $518 includes
- $480, which covers the 2-day training, materials, CEUs and 6 separate one-hour, one-on-one sessions with Dr. Nishith after the initial training
- $38 for the required textbook

 The required text is "Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD : A Comprehensive Manual" by Resick, Monson, and Chard. ISBN# : 978-1-4625-2864-6
CEU Guidelines for Illume In-person Training:
• All attendees must attend the full time of the event.
• All attendees are required to be registered before the event.
• All attendees must complete the event CEU questions during the registration and sign-in sheet at the start of the training.
• Please, arrive to the training 5-10 minutes prior to the start time to ensure that any potential difficulties are worked out prior to the event start.
• Attendees must attend the full event time in order to receive continuing education. If an attendee is not present at the start of the training, leaves for a significant time during the training or leaves the training early, CEUs may not be awarded.
• If an attendee experiences any issue that would keep them from being in the training from start time to end time, continuing education cannot be awarded. Illume retains the attendance list for auditing purposes.
•Please allow at least 30 days to receive your CEU certificate or certificate of attendance. If your training has multiple dates, certificates will be sent at least 45 days from the date of the last training or workshop.
CEUs will only be disbursed via email to individuals that have followed the guidelines.

When we first left Phoenix, we saw columnar cacti on both sides of the road. Meet in Forest Park in St. Louis in winter. Walking in Forest Park, passing by the History Museum, Art Museum, Zoo, and Science Museum. Along the way, there are people running in shorts, cyclists, fishermen by the lake, and people playing golf and tennis... There is such a large forest park in the city center, and there are many places for entertainment. People regard exercise and enjoying the sun and outdoor air as part of their lives. I am a little embarrassed to wear a sweater and trousers.

This zoo is beautiful! It&#39;s the first zoo I&#39;ve been to where the animals looked happy. You have a nice view from every angle. The underwater sea lion exhibit is a must see! It&#39;s free!
