A cyanotype is a type of photogram (camera-less photograph) and is one of the oldest photographic techniques. The name of this technique is derived from the distinctive blue colour of the finished prints. In this 2 hour session you will be guided on how to make prints using sensitized paper and a selection of pressed flowers, leaves, feathers and digital negatives. All materials are provided and the finished prints are yours to take home to use and frame. Although you will have the use of aprons and gloves, wearing old clothes is also advisable, as the liquids you will be near can stain. No prior experience necessary.
