This event, taking place on December 2, 2023, is a celebration of the African, Afro, and Black diaspora, fostering community, education, cultural practice, and wellness. The day kicks off with a gentle morning yoga session led by Steven Choumalaithong, setting a peaceful tone for the workshops ahead. The schedule also includes a kids' West African dance class with The Haus of Glitter Dance Company, a Mande-West African class with Seydou Coulibaly, and a Vogue Femme Choreography session with Arturo Mugler. To end the day on a tranquil note, participants can join a soundbath meditation with Shaffany Terrell and The Haus of Glitter. This event is not just about dance, but also about making a difference. Fifty percent of the proceeds will support the vital cultural preservation work of our heritage partner, The Yeredon Centre for the Malian Arts, while the other fifty percent will support The Haus of Glitter's creative justice work, international touring plans, and the Heal Esek Hopkins initiative.
