One of Canada's best-known printmakers, David Blackwood (1941–2022) put onto paper an enduring vision of Newfoundland. Born and raised on Bonavista Bay, his hauntingly beautiful images—suffused with struggle and myth—are drawn from childhood memories, dreams, superstitions, legends, and oral traditions.
Tracing Blackwood’s career from his first days as an art student at the Ontario College of Art to his final drawing, this expansive retrospective brings together more than 80 drawings and prints, alongside proofs, copperplates, and archival materials. Thanks to the generosity of the artist and his family, the AGO is home to Blackwood’s archives, and the largest collection of his work in the world. Curated by Alexa Greist, Curator & R. Fraser Elliott Chair, Prints and Drawings at the AGO, this exhibition aims to reveal the creative evolution of a beloved Canadian artist.

The Royal Ontario Museum is conveniently located next to the University of Toronto, making it a great choice for exploring the museum first and then the university, or simply exploring the university first before entering the museum. The museum opens at 10:00 AM. As with most public places, for safety reasons, you must undergo a bag check before entering. Inside, you can rent audio guides, which are especially recommended for those traveling with children, as they can enhance the visitor experience.

Niagara Falls is located on the border of the United States and Canada, on the Niagara River, and can be seen from both countries. If you look at the falls from the United States, the other side of the river is the bustling Canadian city of Toronto, with modern buildings such as high-rise buildings and towers. The south bank of the river in the United States is relatively more natural, without high-rise buildings. A Niagara State Park has been built around the falls. It is free and has green trees and carpeted lawns. There are bridges and trestle trails in the park. You can see the wide Niagara River and the rapid water flow. After arriving at the park, parking in the surrounding area is charged. It is recommended to park in the park&#39;s internal parking lot, which charges $10-15 and is closer to the viewing point. Go to the visitor center to get a free map or take a photo of the roadside sign. Because there is more than one waterfall, it is recommended to visit each waterfall viewing point. It is not too far to walk around, and different angles and altitudes have different beauty, all of which are very shocking. If you are not afraid of getting wet, you can go down to the bottom of the waterfall or take a cruise on the Niagara River to see it, where you can see the panoramic view and have an intimate contact with the waterfall.

The Art Gallery of Ontario is a very attractive museum designed by the architect Frank Gehry. Its appearance is like a crystal ship, with a strong sense of modern art. The glass wall and glass wings on the north side of the main entrance glow under the lights at night, creating a beautiful scenery. The spiral staircase in the museum fully demonstrates Gehry&#39;s design talent.
