(de) Color-Es is a groundbreaking event in Los Angeles that celebrates artists of color and their diverse and innovative contributions to the world of art. This event serves as a platform to showcase the myriad forms of minoritarian art and artistry, exploring the significance of being an artist of color in today's society. Through thought-provoking performances by talented individuals such as Tsiambwom Akucha, Rayven Armijo, Sammay, Marco Palomino, and Vera Passos, (de) Color-Es aims to foster connections between different art forms, genres, and localities, culminating in a night of radical artistic expression at NAVEL on May 25, 2024, with performances at 5PM and 8:30PM. Admission to these performances is free, with a suggested donation of $20 to support the development of equitable programming. This event is made possible through the generous support of the California Arts Council Cycle Grant A and the collaborative efforts of Primera Generación Dance Collective and Show Box L.A.
