Join the "Women on Wheels" event featuring Laura Massey-Pugh, the world record holder for circumnavigating the globe on a tandem bicycle. Laura, along with her husband Steve, accomplished this incredible feat by cycling 18,195 miles through 21 countries, averaging 100 miles per day. In less than 180 days, they self-supported their journey, carrying all necessary supplies on their bicycles and finding food, water, and accommodations along the way. This event provides a unique opportunity to hear Laura firsthand as she shares more about their remarkable adventure, which may inspire your own cycling endeavors. The event will take place at The Management Centre in Bangor on March 8, 2024. Tickets are priced at £10 and must be purchased in advance. A bar will be available for beverage purchases, not included in the ticket price. This "Women on Wheels" event is hosted by Breeze North Wales group, with the support of Welsh Cycling. Breeze is an inclusive initiative that encourages women of all abilities to enjoy cycling through fun and free bike rides across the UK.
