Drake University Voice Intensive (DUVI) is a summertime camp tailored for young singers aged 14 and above, focusing on vocal development and performance confidence. This weeklong program, held at Drake University's campus in Des Moines, Iowa, offers participants the opportunity to collaborate with esteemed voice faculty and industry professionals from the Department of Music. 

At DUVI, students will delve into various aspects of singing, including vocal pedagogy, audition etiquette, acting, and diction. Engaging classes will explore musical themes, while students gain valuable experience performing in a studio setting in front of their fellow peers. To further enrich their experience, students can choose to participate in opera scenes, acapella/jazz choir, show choir, or musical theatre scenes, guided by our renowned faculty during scheduled rehearsals. 

Concluding the program, students will showcase their newfound skills and knowledge in a final presentation. Friends and family are invited to attend this special event, which includes a captivating choral performance involving all students.
