Poe Master of the Short Story Although Poe is seen as the forerunner of the horror genre, his stories are more a quest to uncover the source of existential loneliness. As in art, so in life, and Poe's own reads like a story. Tom Van Mieghem will take us on a journey to discover Poe through his written tales and biography, including: 'The Mask of the Red Dead' - an insane prince attempts to fight a monster by partying.  'Annabel Lee' written for Poe's lost beloved.. ‘The Tell Tale Heart' - a murderer in denial.... 'The Lighthouse' - Poe died before finishing this story but Van Mieghem creates a new ending that as an outstanding finale.
