Bobby & Joe Sunshine, twee ontwapenende soldaten, houden het moreel onder de mensen hoog. Uitgerust met banjo, mondorgel en een trompetgieter, brengen zij de liedjes van weleer over afscheid, weerzien, liefde en geluk.
