This workshop will take place on June 23rd through the 27th from 6pm to 9pm each day.In this workshop, Join artist Emily Taylor for a 5-day exploration into acrylic painting. Participants will approach painting from many different angles, breaking down elements of color, texture, value, and composition, exploring each within parameters of structured exercises that isolate a given element. This will build up to larger and/or more sustained painting and student generated ideas and frameworks. We will work daily with color, composition, and concepts, look at each others work, learn from each other, look at many different historical and contemporary painters and painting practices, and generally have fun getting deep into the world of painting.  This workshop will take place on June 23rd through the 27th from 6pm to 9pm each day. This workshop is for those ages 18 and up.  This workshop is funded in part by a grant from South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and South Arts.  Scholarships are available. Walking through New York&#39;s Central Park, it seems to fall into the gentle cracks of the steel forest. Morning light penetrates the forest, spreads powder and white brocade on the cherry blossom avenue, the wind is outdated petals fall, and the corners of the skyscraper soften into a background sound in the flower shadow. The city code on the bench is the most moving.
