A day for farmers, by farmers, sharing experiences for improving performance and resilience in a challenging environment. The focus of this year’s event will be adapting to a changing agricultural climate - building resilience in the face of climate and policy change.
We’re excited to announce that the Farm Carbon Toolkit Annual Field Day will return this September — a practical day of farmer-led learning, showcasing tools and techniques for profitable, climate-friendly farming. This year’s event will be hosted by The Pink Pig Farm in North Lincolnshire, a business at the forefront of sustainability and innovation. As always, the day will bring together farmers, advisors, and researchers to share real-world insights on reducing farm emissions, building soil carbon, and boosting resilience. Expect a mix of on-farm demonstrations, panel discussions, practical workshops, and farmer case studies. Topics are likely to include:
Grazing strategies and nutrient cycling
Reducing input reliance
Soil and carbon monitoring
Opportunities in biodiversity and carbon markets
Farm energy and resource efficiency
Confirmed speakers include Tim Parton and John Cherry
As always, we’ll also announce the winners of this year’s Carbon Farmer of the Year Awards, celebrating farmers who are leading the way in practical, measurable climate action.
