Join fiber artist Libby Mortensen at the Felted Nest with Eggs Workshop in Exeter, NH on April 26, 2024. This workshop will cover basic wool sculpting techniques such as wrapping, shaping, blending colors, and surface felting. Participants will learn how to create their own nest (3.5” to 4”) with wee eggs to display for spring. No prior felting experience is necessary, although some experience may be helpful. In addition to learning about basic tools and gauges of needles, attendees will also discover the types of wool that are best suited for needle felting. A companion class to make a bird for the nest is available on April 27 for ages 15 and up. 

To register for the workshop, you have multiple options. You can register online through the Exeter Fine Crafts website, but please note that there is an additional fee for online registration. If you prefer to avoid this fee, you can also register by calling (603) 778-8282 or emailing info@exeterfinecrafts.com. Tuition for the workshop must be paid in full at the time of registration. If a student is unable to attend after paying, a refund can be issued with a $25 processing fee (in addition to any online processing fees if applicable), as long as the student withdraws at least 10 days prior to the first class. If the class is cancelled or the date is changed, a full refund will be given. Gift certificates are available for classes, but enrollment is limited, so it is recommended to register early.
