Freedom Without Imprisonment

In Hengdian, I felt like I&#39;d stumbled onto the set of a period drama. I&#39;d traveled through multiple dynasties in a single day. Whether it was the deep courtyards of the Ming and Qing Dynasty palaces or the towering aura of the Qin Emperor&#39;s Palace, I felt oppressed. Perhaps looking at the dilapidated Along the River During the Qingming Festival gave it a more earthbound feel.

It turns out that the past, without skyscrapers, could also be unsettling. I walked and walked among the magnificent buildings, a cold and solemn atmosphere washing over me. There was even a sense of certainty. However, it seemed impossible to breathe this air.

With the constant shouting at the door&mdash;car rentals, hot air balloons, convenience stores, and so on&mdash;and watching the men and women in ancient costumes, I was torn between entering and exiting the drama. If I were born in ancient times, I would have been a commoner living outside the city walls.

Before sunset, I climbed the city wall, hoping to overlook this rare land. Unfortunately, it was just a fantasy. Without a bird, I couldn&#39;t see it all. I immediately descended the tower, figuring it was better not to see such a desolate place. Because I&#39;m a puppy, I don&#39;t want the freedom of imprisonment.

Families, you must not miss Lu&#39;s House when you come to Dongyang! Once you step into it, the saying &quot;There is the Forbidden City in the north and Lu&#39;s House in the south&quot; is not in vain. This is the largest and most well-preserved ancient building complex of Ming and Qing Dynasties in Jiangnan, and it shows the weight of history everywhere. Strolling along the central axis of Suyong Hall, there are nine courtyards with a depth of 320 meters. The spatial sequence is similar to that of the Forbidden City and is extraordinary. The Dongyang wood carvings on beams, brackets, doors and windows are unique, delicate and beautiful. This is also a popular filming location for film and television. &quot;Celebrating Yu Nian 2&quot; and other films were filmed here. However, there are few introduction signs for some buildings in the scenic area. If you want to understand the history and culture in depth, you have to do your homework in advance or ask a tour guide. There are limited dining options around, and it is not convenient to eat when you are tired. But overall, Lu&#39;s House is worth a visit and highly recommended!

The kids had a lot of fun, and there were many performances. We watched the sea lion show at Yijing Garden, and there were also iron flower shows and rainstorms and flash floods in the evening. The iron flower show was very shocking, and I especially liked the fireworks part. The rainstorm and flash floods with tons of heavy water pouring down were very shocking. It was one of the better performances we have seen recently.
