Colorado Springs Events in December, 2023

Experience empowerment and learn essential self-defense skills at the Free Women's Self Defense Class in Colorado Springs. Hosted by the Elizabeth Smart Foundation, this event is a must-attend for women of all ages who want to enhance their personal safety. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of female business owners in the local Colorado Springs Community, participation in this class is completely free.

As part of our dedication to making a positive impact, we will be conducting a holiday donation drive to support the Lotus Foundation. This nonprofit organization is committed to providing advocacy and support services for survivors of human trafficking. We kindly request unworn or gently used winter clothing donations to assist those in need.

Rachel Holcomb, a local nutrition coach, and Cloud Nine esthetics, a reputable esthetician company, are our valued sponsors for this event. You can expect to enjoy refreshments throughout the evening as you connect with other like-minded individuals who share your passion for women's empowerment.

The self-defense class will be expertly taught by Erin Johnson, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt instructor who specializes in Smart Defense through the Elizabeth Smart Foundation. This comprehensive program combines Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Krav Maga to equip women with the skills they need to confidently navigate potentially dangerous situations.

Open to women of all ages, including pre-teen and teenage girls with adult approval, this class offers a unique opportunity for personal growth and development. Please note that sensitive topics will be discussed due to the nature of the class.
