Take an introduction to the foundations of Hip-Hop class this winter in Seattle to expand your improv skill set. This class will show you how to incorporate rhythm and poetry into your improv scenes effortlessly. By participating in improv games, you will have the opportunity to explore the Five Pillars of Hip-Hop and learn how to create completely improvised hip-hop songs. You will gain a deeper understanding of hip-hop by combining the fundamentals of improv with freestyle, beat-boxing, and crowd techniques. Join Dre Anderson, an ensemble member of Unexpected Productions, as he teaches Fundamentals of Improvised Hip Hop at the Improv School. With over a decade of experience collaborating with Seattle artists, Dre is excited to share his love for freestyle and technique with others. As co-director of An Improvised Hip Hopera and performer at Unexpected Productions, Dre combines improvisation with hip-hop to create original songs, characters, and stories. This class is perfect for adults aged 18 and above who have completed Improv 100 or its equivalent. The class will take place over six Saturdays, from January 6th to February 10th, from 4-6:30 pm at 650 S Orcas Suite 101, Seattle 98108. The maximum number of students is limited to 14, so register now to secure your spot. The cost for the class is $285. Please note that this class involves a lot of movement and action, so dress comfortably and bring a bottle of water. In terms of the cancellation policy, if you must cancel before the first class, you will receive credit towards a future class. However, refunds are not available.
