Get in the right gear with this bike maintenance class at Lang Toun Cycles in Kirkcaldy. This class is part of our autumn programme and is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills for making gear adjustments. Join us on December 2, 2023, for a comprehensive session on replacing a gear cable and adjusting gears.

Led by experienced cycle mechanics from Lang Toun Cycles, this class is open to all individuals who are interested in learning about bike maintenance. No prior experience is required, making it accessible to everyone. Please note that the minimum age for participation is 12 years, and individuals under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

During the class, we will provide all the necessary tools, protective equipment, and work stands. You are encouraged to bring your own bike, but if you prefer, you can use one of our provided bikes. Water, tea, and coffee will be available to keep you refreshed throughout the session.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to purchase tools if you wish to continue practicing maintenance at home. Please come dressed in clothing that you don't mind getting dirty, as we will be working with grease and grime. Aprons and gloves will be provided for your convenience.

While attendance to this event is free, booking is required. We also offer the option to purchase a ticket with a donation, which helps support our community work.
