The Georgetown University Law Center and the 
Institute of International Economic Law
 are delighted to announce that the 
2025 Global Trade Academy will take place in-person on April 28 - May 2 at the Georgetown University Law Center, and the law offices of Sidley Austin and King & Spalding
.
 The Academy will meet live in the heart of the nation’s capital, bringing together participants from governments, IGOs, NGOs, and the private sector, and allowing attendees to meet and exchange views with leading experts as well as participants from around the world.
Every year, the Global Trade Academy tackles tough questions by providing participants with a custom-designed program that explores the legal foundations of the global trading system, the role of regional trade agreements, and the evolution of national policies in the face of rapidly changing global priorities and heightened geopolitical rivalries.
Through presentations, interactive policy conversations, breakout/networking sessions, a simulation, and a keynote speech, participants will gain insights into the core rules regulating international trade and the most recent developments shaping the global economy, with particular attention to how the trade policies of the Trump Administration have redefined approaches to global economic competition and cooperation.

Who should attend?
Diplomats, legal professionals, trade policy officials, members of the international business, IGO and NGO communities, academics, and others – including those from developing countries and transition economies. By design, this Executive Education program is open to more experienced leaders and younger professionals alike. 
One need not be an attorney to attend.
Continuing Legal Education (CLE)
The 2024 Global Trade Academy offered participants 26 CLE credits, and we anticipate offering a similar number of CLE credits for this year’s program.

I heard that the White House has not been open to the public since 911, and we can only look far outside the fence when we go, so the White House has become a boring landmark, taking a photo of the tourists who &ldquo;come here&rdquo; to check in. There is a big pine tree on the south side of the White House, and I didn&rsquo;t expect it to be a &ldquo;landmark&rdquo; and a &ldquo;national Christmas tree&rdquo;... Well, it seems that you should pick Christmas to visit.

The Capitol building needs to make an appointment to buy tickets in advance to visit. Arrive on time according to the requirements. There are many people. Be sure to have an advance amount to not affect the itinerary. You can make an appointment for a Chinese tour in advance. Although it is a Chinese tour, it is also a foreigner tour guide who speaks English and uses a translator to translate it into Chinese to play it for us. It is very interesting. The interior of the Capitol is also very good from the perspective of the building itself. You must explain it when you go in and visit.

Between Capitol Hill and the Washington Monument, there is a long and narrow green space, which is the National Mall of the United States. There are many national museums and memorials around the square. Each venue is very interesting and you can spend half a day visiting a single place.

If you don&#39;t have enough time, it&#39;s also good to take pictures. These buildings have different shapes, and taking pictures and checking in are very photogenic.

[Value for money] It is open 24 hours a day and is free. Although we went there at 6 o&#39;clock, it gets dark early in winter. But the momentum is still there.

But why do I feel that the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei is so similar to the Lincoln Memorial!
