Celebrate the memory of Gwen Owsley with a 2-mile Fun Run! Bring the family for an evening filled with live music, food vendors, and games! Welcome to the Fun Run! Join us for a 2 Mile Fun Run to honor and celebrate what would have been Gwen Owsley's 18th birthday. All proceeds benefit the GO Shine Like Gwen Memorial Scholarship at the LaGrange County Community Foundation. Enjoy a leisurely stroll or a brisk run through Delt Church Park. Register by August 25th to guarantee your t-shirt, flashlight, and birthday cupcake! This amazing community has made sure the scholarship is fully funded to give $1,000 a year forever and we are now so close to making it a $2,000 annual scholarship! It was never Gwen's style to stop even when reaching a goal, instead she'd set a harder goal and keep going... so that is exactly what we will do! The celebration evening is free to attend and will include a live band, family-friendly activities, and food vendors. Bring lawn chairs and/or picnic blankets! Want the Celebration Goodies but don't want to run/walk? No problem! Participation in the Fun Run is not required, but register anyway to get your goodies!
(Note: The event is FREE! Registration is only required for Fun Run participants and anyone wanting the Celebration Goodies.) The evening will conclude with a 1/2 Mile Memorial GO Glow Walk at 7pm in Gwen's honor.
