 In the 50-year history of "Hong Kong Music", there are always some talented singers who work silently behind the king singers and contribute to the "hundred schools of thought" of "Hong Kong Music" history. Mr. Su Yongkang, who held his first solo concert at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall this time, is one of them who deserves special mention. 
  As the runner-up of the 4th Hong Kong New Talent Singing Competition in 1985, Mr. Su Yongkang's initial career as a singer can be said to be full of challenges. After waiting for four years, he finally waited for his first "mentor" in 1989. Mr. Lin Mude, a master of Hong Kong music composers, composed songs for him and released his first album "Insomnia" in his singing career. With this album, he won the first award in his singing career in the second year-the "Most Promising Newcomer Award (Bronze Award)" of the 12th Top Ten Chinese Golden Songs in 1990, thus officially starting his professional singing career. In the five years from 1989 to 1994, Mr. So Yongkang completed five albums, two EPs and one selected album. In the first Cantonese era of his "Hong Kong music" career, he handed in a relatively complete and satisfactory answer sheet. The appearance of Mr. Huang Shangwei, another Hong Kong music composer who played an important role in Mr. So Yongkang's career in the music industry, also foreshadowed the arrival of his peak in the music industry. 
 Since 1995, Mr. So Yongkang has begun to develop in both the Mandarin and Cantonese music scene, especially in the Mandarin music scene. With the album "Men Should Not Make Women Cry", he became popular in the Mandarin music market and walked out of Hong Kong in one fell swoop. He became a well-known singer in the Chinese region. Later, he became one of the best "men's voice" spokespersons in the Chinese region with a number of Mandarin lyrical classics such as "Old Love is Still the Most Beautiful", "Let Those Who Understand You Love You", "If This is the Best Distance for Me to Love You", and "Love is Like a Frenzy". 
 With Mr. Su Yongkang's solid progress in both the Mandarin and Cantonese music circles, he finally waited for his first representative work in the history of Hong Kong music in 1998, which was "The More You Kiss, the More Sad" composed by his good friend Mr. Wu Guojing. The story behind "The More You Kiss, the More Sad" is a typical story of good people getting good rewards. At that time, after Mr. Wu Guojing wrote "The More You Kiss, the More Sad", no one in the circle was interested. It was not until Mr. Su Yongkang "helped" that this song, which later became one of the hottest singles in the history of Hong Kong music, was not buried. The two good friends who cherish each other also achieved mutual success, making the success of the song even more precious. 
 After the millennium, with the passing of the golden age of Hong Kong music, there are really only a handful of singers who can carry the banner of Hong Kong music outside the Greater Bay Area. But in this short list of singers, there is also Mr. So Wing-kang's name, especially in 2011, his song "That Someone" written by his good friend Wyman Wong, with one line "Your tear marks are like a green rust, stubbornly planted in the corner of your eyes, until forever, can't be wiped away" delicate interpretation, made another representative work of Mr. So Wing-kang in the Hong Kong music scene, recorded in the Hong Kong music classic playlist. 
With Mr. So Wing-kang's Guangzhou concert approaching, everyone must be looking forward to this concert.
