2024 marks the 80th anniversary of the Southwest Drama Exhibition. This year's art festival is themed "Looking Back and Moving Forward", inheriting the historical context of Guilin and continuing the glory of the "Southwest Drama Exhibition". This year's art festival will build a comprehensive art festival with drama as the main body and drama, music and fine arts as the three pillars. 
In Guilin, drama can happen anywhere. 18 famous Chinese and foreign dramas from 6 countries and 48 wonderful performances will be slowly unfolded in indoor theaters, mountain theaters, tree theaters, cave theaters, and tent theaters, presenting you with a drama feast of harmonious coexistence between man and nature. 
"The Development of History-A Tribute to the 80th Anniversary of the Southwest Drama Exhibition" will be projected on the Li River under the Elephant Trunk Hill in Guilin, Guangxi on the evening of October 26 and 27. The creative team of the Central Academy of Drama broke the traditional commemorative exhibition method and projected a large number of precious stills and documents of the Southwest Drama Exhibition that they exclusively possessed on the surface of the river on the Elephant Trunk Hill through video records. Accompanied by the praises and songs of the Southwest Drama Exhibition, the audience of the Guilin Art Festival will be drawn into the scene of the Southwest Drama Exhibition, where they can see the exhibition, the drama workers 80 years ago, the scenes of the drama performances and the troupes participating in the performances...
The Art Lecture Hall will invite Wang Chaoge, Li Dong and Qiao Shan, three influential artists and experts in the domestic drama field, to give lectures, and disseminate them instantly in the form of all media, so that everyone will have the opportunity to listen to the courses of top experts in the drama industry on cruise ships, in lecture halls and in ancient monuments, and feel the natural beauty, artistic beauty and scenery beauty of Guilin at the same time.

It was a fascinating trip. Wangcheng is a campus of Guangxi Normal University. The guide was a teacher from the university. He was incredibly knowledgeable and could readily recite historical allusions and ancient poetry. I was impressed! He gave us a vivid history and culture lesson!
The most impressive things were the Wangfu secret carvings, the Five Blessings, and the Tai Sui culture!

It&#39;s said that Guilin locals can enter for free, but I wasted 85 yuan on the entrance ticket and the Seven Star Cave ticket. I bought them on Ctrip on a whim and had to wait an hour before I was allowed in! I don&#39;t recommend buying the scenic area shuttle bus, which costs 25 yuan and the stop is inconvenient!

Diecai Mountain.
The ticket price was cheap, only 37.5 for a couple, but the scenery was stunning. It was overcast that morning, and the wind was strong, so it wasn&#39;t hot at all.

This mountain has a famous wind tunnel, which truly blows a cool 26-degree breeze like air conditioning. The staff said that even when the temperature outside is still, the wind is still blowing through this tunnel&mdash;it&#39;s magical.

Climbing to the top is effortless, and you can see the entire river view and the mountains of varying heights and distances. Guilin&#39;s mountains are truly unique, with their staggered and undulating shapes. Their random shapes, however, create a beautiful scene when connected together.

There&#39;s a stone tablet at the top with the inscription: &quot;Climb Diecai Mountain and live to be 130!&quot; What a beautiful auspicious meaning.

We spent quite a while at the top, then descended to climb the nearby Crane Mountain. This mountain is truly covered in large white birds&mdash;I&#39;m not sure if they are cranes. Why do these birds only perch on this one of so many other mountains? I don&#39;t know the reason.

​There is another huge hole halfway up the mountain. I found that almost all the mountains in Guilin have holes, and they are all transparent holes. No matter which mountain I see on the road, there will be a hole in it. It is magical.
