Atarayo, a band that feeds on sadness, comes from the word kasukya, which means 'a night so beautiful that it's a shame that the day comes.’They began uploading songs and engaging in activities on YouTube in November 2020. Their first original song, ‘October I Forget the Silent You,’gained attention for its emotional vocals, urban music style, and resonant lyrics, amassing over 50 million views on YouTube. In March 2021, they started digital distribution, quickly topping charts on platforms like LINE MUSIC, Spotify, TikTok, and AWA. Less than a year after their debut, they appeared on THE FIRST TAKE. On October 4, 2021, they released their first EP, "Before Dawn," containing seven songs.
In March 2024, their first Asian tour, ‘Atarayo First Asia Tour 2024,’sold out all six performances, including additional shows, expanding their activities beyond Japan to the Asian region. This year, they are embarking on a tour named ‘Yume-gatari TOUR 2025,’which includes 15 performances both in Japan and overseas.

I came to Hiroshima specifically to see the site of the atomic bomb explosion. Due to the G7 Hiroshima Summit, the tram from the train station to the memorial park was closed halfway and no traffic was allowed. I got off the tram and walked underground to a nearby area. The memorial park was completely closed and I had to leave with regret.
