Join us for a fascinating talk with postcard expert and collector Kathy Alpert, as she delves into the history and significance of postcards as both art and historical artifacts. With a collection of nearly 50,000 postcards, primarily from the early 20th century, Kathy will showcase highlights from her impressive archive and discuss what makes these small treasures so valuable to our understanding of the past. Guests will also have the opportunity to browse and explore The West End Museum’s collection of historic Boston and West End postcards, offering a local perspective on this rich visual tradition. About Kathy Kathryn S. Alpert (Kathy) is a writer who collects, organizes and interprets postcards and ephemera from the first half of the 20th century. In 2001, she introduced the greeting card world to vintage postcards through PostMark Press’s authentic reproductions of public domain images. She then used postcard art to create original designs and licensed them for use on consumer products. More recently, she has been advocating for the historical importance of postcards as artifacts worthy of being accessioned into research and educational institutions. You can also join Kathy on March 9th, 10am-3pm at the Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History for the New England Postcard Club’s Second Annual Postcard Show. Her website is HERE. The experience was very good. The tour guide kept talking for an hour and entertained everyone. You can experience all the city views on land and water. The moment you got into the water, everyone was recording. When you met other duck boats during the journey, everyone would imitate the duck&#39;s call to greet each other

The aquarium is well designed, but the venue is a bit small. There were many children at the school during the event. Boston was still very cold in May, and there were strong winds and heavy rain. The ticket price seemed a bit expensive.

This granite monument in Charlestown, Boston, is said to be one of the earliest monuments in the United States, used to commemorate the Battle of Bunker Hill between the British Army and the North American Colonial Militia (OK, I admit that I checked it recently

Now this is the terminal of Boston&#39;s Freedom Trail. If the weather is good, you can walk all the way from Boston Park~
The only way to get to the top of the monument is to climb the stairs
There are a total of 294 steps, and numbers are marked every few steps, so that people who are panting and climbing the stairs can have a number in mind

There is actually only a small space on the top of the monument, but looking out through the small windows on all four sides, I immediately feel that climbing the stairs is worth it~
