Visite guidée de l'exposition  Eugène Boudin, le père de l'Impressionnisme : une collection particulière  Au Musée Marmottan Monet Le parcours de cette exposition permet de découvrir l’évolution de la carrière de Boudin (1824-1898), depuis ses premiers paysages normands jusqu’aux ultimes marines du Midi ou de Venise, et de le suivre en Bretagne, à Bordeaux, dans le Nord, en Belgique ou aux Pays-Bas, au travers d’esquisses comme de peintures ambitieuses destinées au Salon.
Les 80 œuvres de la prestigieuse collection Guyonvarc’h sont mises en correspondance avec le fonds du musée Marmottan Monet, afin de mettre en lumière le dialogue entre Boudin et celui qui fut son principal élève et ami, Claude Monet. Grâce à la participation des archives Durand-Ruel, les relations des deux artistes avec celui qui fut leur principal marchand sont également évoquées. Connu pour ses marines et ses scènes de plage, Eugène Boudin fut l’un des premiers artistes français à poser son chevalet hors de l’atelier pour réaliser des paysages. Dans ses nombreux tableaux, il s’est tout particulièrement attaché au rendu des éléments et des effets atmosphériques. Il a ainsi été l’un des initiateurs d’une vision renouvelée de la nature, précédant dans cette démarche les impressionnistes et Claude Monet, qui écrivait à la fin de sa vie : « Je dois tout à Boudin ».
