The museum is presenting a selection of around fifty collages by the film director and screenwriter Isabel Coixet (born 1960). Curated by Estrella de Diego, the exhibition is part of the PhotoEspaña 2025 programme.
Isabel Coixet has been working for years on collages made from paper and photographs that are reminiscent of the preparatory shots employed by some Hollywood directors, who left nothing to chance. There is a continuity between what Coixet demands from the viewer in her films and the narrative place in which her collages locate visitors to the exhibition. These are works that connect with the great avant-garde tradition of this art form - from Hanna Höch to Kurt Schwitters - and also associate Coixet with a certain precariousness, with a way of working with little which she also pursues in her films.

This place is amazing! I couldn&rsquo;t recommend it more, for art lovers! The only bad thing is that I booked tickets on this app before learning that Spain has free hours for their national tourist attractions - and the time I went (unwittingly) ended up being free! What a dork - but also a bit cheeky to not mention this on the ticket page. 🤷🏻&zwj;♀️

After visiting the Prado and Sofia Queen Art Center, I came here again and felt that the collector&#39;s extraordinary vision and strength were too powerful. Their collections span not only centuries, but also have a wide range of styles and artists involved. Just like super rich investors, investors have invested in each track, and they have included artworks of various periods and styles. For visitors, the museum is extremely diverse in style, with a strong lineup of painters and artworks of different eras and genres. Coming here is equivalent to a one-off visit to dozens of galleries, from ancient art, baroque, rococo, to 19th century and modern art.
