Pingtan Island is the main island of Pingtan County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China. It is located on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait. It is the fifth largest island in China, the largest island in Fujian Province, and the closest place to Taiwan Island in mainland China (only about 68 nautical miles from Hsinchu).
It is located in the east of the Taiwan Strait and across the Haitan Strait from Fuqing City in the west.
Transportation and parking: It is connected to the main urban area of Fuzhou through the Pingtan Strait Highway-Rail Bridge (the world&#39;s longest cross-sea highway-rail dual-use bridge), and the journey takes about 1.5 hours.
High-speed rail, the Fuzhou-Pingtan high-speed rail has been opened and can be reached in about 30 minutes.
Ferry, Pingtan has passenger ships to Taiwan, Xiamen and other places (such as the &quot;Haixia&quot; high-speed passenger and vehicle ferry to Taichung).

Pingtan is close to the sea and has a beautiful scenic environment. Houyan Island, as one of Pingtan&#39;s tourist resorts, is backed by the sea and has countless beautiful scenery. It is definitely worth a visit, but don&#39;t be in a hurry.

When I boarded the ship in the evening, I was attracted by the lights at the pier, and I was even more surprised after I set sail. The river was sparkling, the lights on both sides were bright, the neon lights of the Jiefang Bridge and the European-style buildings of Zhongzhou Island were particularly stunning in the night, especially when the light show was on, the whole city seemed to be dancing on the river. The cruise ship was very clean, the seats were comfortable, the view from the top deck was superb, and it was so pleasant to watch the night view while enjoying the river breeze. The guide&#39;s introduction was very vivid, and I was immersed in the story of the Minjiang River without realizing it. The service was also very considerate, the staff was enthusiastic, and the price-performance ratio was high

It&#39;s very big and impressive inside. I went too late and didn&#39;t see the show. I just took pictures inside and walked around. It&#39;s a pity. It&#39;s worth a visit. I recommend going early in the morning. It&#39;s best to go on weekends when there are more performances. There is also an amusement park inside, and you can buy tickets separately to play
