Perrotin (Los Angeles) is pleased to present “Big Picture,” the first solo exhibition on the West Coast of the United States by American artist Josh Sperling. Known for his vibrant, shaped canvases and patchwork structures, Sperling’s work is influenced by Minimalism and Memphis design. This exhibition marks a significant step forward in his practice, showcasing new paintings and the first U.S. launch of functional designs—including modular benches and framed mirrors—that extend his visual language beyond the canvas and into a wider context.

[Scenery] A most brilliant pearl among the numerous coastal islands in California, USA. The island is centered on Avalon Bay. This azure and crystal-clear crescent-shaped pier was an excellent place for pirate ships to hide and enter during the Spanish occupation more than 400 years ago. The white &quot;Crescent Beach&quot; is picturesque.
[Fun] Avalon, the only city on the island, is connected to San Pedro and Long Beach on the mainland by ferry and flight. There are seal habitats and underwater parks on the island.

A must-visit project. Few people came in February, and all the projects were easily completed in one day. I took my children to learn about the filming base of the movie, and the experience was full.
