Radical. Playful. Iconic. During the 60s, 70s and 80s, Joyce Wieland’s humorous and biting artistry helped give shape to this country’s changing ideas about gender, nationhood and ecology. An artist of great influence, whose work included textiles, collage, print, drawing and film, her legacy lives in the works of subsequent generations.
In this ambitious retrospective, the first since 1987, more than five decades of artistic output come together to highlight the breadth and originality of her practice and to position her as a key figure in 20th century art and film. In addition to situating Wieland’s work in its artistic, social and political context, the exhibition will highlight the many ways she anticipated current debates about feminism, social equity and ecology.
The exhibition is curated by Georgiana Uhlyarik, Fredrik S. Eaton Curator of Canadian Art, AGO and Anne Grace, Curator of Modern Art, MMFA.

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), located in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is the fifth-largest museum in North America. The building boasts a rich history and unique architectural style. Its iconic Crystal Gallery is a building composed of five interconnected, self-supporting prismatic structures with a glass roof. It houses multiple exhibition halls, special exhibition areas, a dining area, and the main entrance hall. The ROM boasts a vast collection of artifacts, making it one of the most comprehensive collections of Chinese art outside of mainland China. Exhibits include oracle bones excavated from the ruins of the Shang Dynasty capital, the Yuan Dynasty mural &quot;Maitreya Buddha Preaching&quot; in Shanxi, and the Ming Dynasty tomb of Zu Dashou. The collection encompasses ceramics, bronzes, Buddhist sculptures, and other categories. Other exhibits include Egyptian mummies, Greek and Roman masterpieces, and ancient European weapons and musical instruments. The natural science collection includes a large collection of dinosaur fossils, bird specimens, minerals, and meteorites.

The exhibition hall&#39;s basement level focuses on Canadian Indigenous history, immigration history, and contemporary culture. First Floor: The central hall is surrounded by representative collections. The northern exhibition hall primarily showcases Asian artifacts, including a Chinese art gallery. Second Floor: Primarily devoted to natural history, it includes a bird gallery, insect gallery, and mammal gallery. The dinosaur gallery and bird gallery are particularly popular. Third Floor: Divided into two sections, the Mediterranean World and European Civilization, showcases Mesopotamia, ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, the Roman Empire, as well as the history of European daily life, weapons, and armor.

Standing at the foot of the CN Tower, my first feeling was awe. My ears felt a bit full as the elevator soared, but watching the Toronto skyline gradually shrink through the glass windows, with the lake and skyline stretching out below, instantly made the experience worth it! Standing on the glass floor, while a bit shaky in the knees, was thrilling and unforgettable. Sunset was especially romantic, bathing the entire city in a golden glow. My only regret was that the observation deck was a bit crowded, making it difficult to squeeze in for photos. Overall, though, it&#39;s a must-see!

It&#39;s definitely worth a visit! The scenery is amazing, immersive, and breathtaking! There are often rainbows 🌈, which are really photogenic! There&#39;s also a fireworks and light show at night! It&#39;s beautiful! The US and Canada firework displays face each other, so dazzling! It&#39;s definitely worth a visit! The surrounding Clifton Hill is similar to Universal Studios, with lots of attractions and activities, perfect for kids!

The moment you step into Casa Loma, you&#39;re transported back to the days of the aristocracy of the early 20th century. Climbing the spiral staircase to the tower is a bit leg-wrenching, but it&#39;s well worth it&mdash;the rooftop view offers breathtaking views of the Toronto skyline. The underground wine cellars and secret passageways are truly adventurous, and I can&#39;t help but imagine the banquets the owners once hosted there. However, some of the furniture in the rooms looks a bit worn, and the signage is a bit blurry. My favorite part is the garden, where the roses are in full bloom in the summer, and it&#39;s so relaxing to sit on a bench and just relax. If you enjoy historical architecture and photography, this is a great place to take photos!

Art Gallery of Ontario

The Art Gallery of Ontario is a very attractive museum designed by the architect Frank Gehry. Its appearance is like a crystal ship, with a strong sense of modern art. The glass wall and glass wings on the north side of the main entrance glow under the lights at night, creating a beautiful scenery. The spiral staircase in the museum fully demonstrates Gehry&#39;s design talent.
