This April we're running two seperate 5 day Holiday Learn to Row Camps which will be a great opportunity for young people who have not tried rowing before to have a go and learn, not only how to row in single boat but also how to work as a crew. Experienced rowers will benefit from coaching focused on pushing their skills to be come better and more confident rowers. Sessions Course 1: 7th April - 11th April  Course 2: 14th April - 18th April  Sessions are two hours per day over 5 days: Monday-Friday 14:00-16:00. Cost This is not a free course. Please note payment and registation after booking must be completed ASAP to secure your space. This is a week-long course to learn the basics of rowing and find out if rowing is for you. The course will lead you through: the rowing strokehow to row in a crewhow to get a boat on and off the waterhow to use a rowing machineif you already row, our group of experienced coached will help develop your skill technicallyThere will be four water sessions and one gym session to consolidate your knowledge of the rowing stroke. This course is for: children 12–18 years oldall levels of fitnessrowers of all levelsAll participants must be able to swim – The use of buoyancy aids are mandatory and we do not anticipate you needing this skill however we need to know you can in case of an emergency.  All sessions will be taught by experienced rowers and coaches. We'll be teaching you how to scull (rowing with two oars).Please let us know if you have any special requirements. We have had a lot of interest in these camps and only a finite number of spaces, so please book as soon as possible. Cancellations & Rescheduling It is possible a course or a session may need to be cancelled or rescheduled. Examples include: Weather: If lightning or excessively high wind speeds are forecast, making it dangerous to be on the water, we will be indoors.Staff Ilness: Correct coach to athlete ratio is our priortiy. If we are unable to meet this session will be carried out indoors insteadWe understand that illness and unexpected circumatances may arise which may affect your child's attendance on the course. In any such circumstances we cannot offer a refund for the sessions missed.
