About the Book
A candid, thought-provoking exploration of contemporary women’s experiences of religious conversion and the relationship between faith and fulfillment in our time.
Religious involvement has been declining in the West for decades—and, though men have historically outnumbered women among the disaffiliated in the U.S., a greater share of the young adults leaving religion today are women. A young, secular Kelsey Osgood would have been surprised to hear that she would be among those moving in the opposite direction. And yet, after the conversion to Orthodox Judaism that transformed her life, she began to wonder about the other contemporary women who, like her, had been startled to find a home in organized religion.

Temple Square is also a very characteristic place in Salt Lake City. You can see some quite interesting design styles on the square. The entire Temple Square is a huge place worth visiting. The square is surrounded by many local community complexes.

Utah State Capitol

The Utah State Capitol is also a place worth visiting. The Parliament House is quite large and is the most important administrative place of the Utah State Government. Many of the designs in the building are more interesting. It is more difficult to apply for a visit here.

This Is The Place Heritage Park

This was our first stop to Salt Lake City. We had friends who had lived in the area for many years. This is where the first Mormon settlers arrived. There are many monuments describing this history and a visitor center with a small movie with this history.

Salt Lake City Tabernacle

The Great Chapel is also a huge gathering place. It is located near the Temple of the Demon Sect. The chapel here is also a favorite gathering place for local Americans. The decoration and design inside the chapel are very distinctive. I like some of the styles here very much.
