Come learn the basics of how to use a sewing machine! You’ll leave the evening with new knowledge, new friends, and new projects you’ve made yourself.
Josephine, Laine, and Phoebe will walk you through how to thread a sewing machine, how to fill a bobbin and put it in the sewing machine, and how to sew! This is a hands on, step-by-step, workshop in which you'll sew a small card wallet to take home. There will also be the option to make a second one if there's time.
Ticket Options
Option 1 - Borrow-a-machine tickets
: There will be six spots available for individuals to borrow a sewing machine for the evening.
Option 2 - Bring-your-own-machine tickets
: There will be six spots for individuals who have their own machines, and want to learn how to turn them on, thread them, and have lots of fun sewing on them.
*IMPORTANT*
 If you plan on bringing your own machine, you’ll need to send us a message with the make and model of your machine (so we can be sure to know how to use it), let us know when the machine was last used, and bring appropriate bobbins for your machine.
All materials will be provided for the evening
 - fabric, thread, tools (on loan for the evening), and some basic sewing instruction booklets!
Location: The Grove Studio (18 Louisa Street, Ottawa, unit 280)
Individuals 14 years old or younger will need to be accompanied by an adult.
