LGBT community members are invited to sign up for our 6 week swimming programme, taking place at Sean McDermott Pool, Dublin 1. The course will begin on Wednesday 13th November 2024 at 7pm until 7:45pm and will run for 6 weeks at the same time each week. There are three groups - beginners & improvers, intermediate and  swim a mile . You can decide which group you belong to at your first lesson. Each group has its own coach Beginner & improver group is for people who can not swim or who are not strong swimmers. The group has its own coach who is trained as a life guard. Intermediate group is for people who can swim at least 50 meters on front and back stroke and are comfortable out of their depth in water without any flotation device. Advanced group is for people who can swim at least 100 meters on front and back stroke and are comfortable out of their depth in water without any flotation device. The length of the pool is 25 meters. Places are limited so sign up early to avoid disappointment. The changing rooms are gendered commual changing rooms. Our Rathmines lessons offer non-gendered individual changing rooms.
