Open Mic Poetry Night Join us for our April Open Mic Poetry Night, a celebration of spoken word and creative expression. This unthemed event will be held on Saturday, 31st May 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00pm at the upstairs venue of The Ellington Jazz Club. Performances will commence at 4:30pm, featuring a line-up of talented poets sharing original pieces. This poetry night is unthemed so poets are free to perform whatever their souls call for. Whether you're a seasoned poetry enthusiast or simply looking for a unique way to spend the evening, this event promises an intimate and inspiring atmosphere. Tickets: $15 (available online and at the door) Performance Guidelines for Poets: All are welcome to perform, however, limited spots are available. Please arrive on time to secure your spot!Poems must be originalPoems must be no longer than 2 minutes and 30 seconds.Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to experience the vibrant Perth poetry scene. Come along, be inspired, and set the tone for a memorable night of words and artistry! Tickets to this event do not include admission for any jazz shows held by The Ellington.
