Kyle's artistic exploration involves using various forms as a means of self-expression, including their own body, which they transform into a vehicle for drag performances under the name Tomboy. This unique fusion of oversized camp and unconventional glamour celebrates beauty beyond traditional boundaries.

The event, Life is a Drag! An evening with Kyle Letendre, is part of the Matthias Kemeny Design Lecture Series, organized by the Portland State Graphic Design program. This series brings internationally acclaimed design professionals to Portland, providing lectures that benefit both students and faculty in the Graphic Design program, as well as the wider design community. The event is free and open to the public, offering an opportunity to engage in a community-wide dialogue about design and related fields.
