On the 25th anniversary of Macau&#39;s return to the motherland, the stage play &quot;Macau 2049&quot; directed by Zhang Yimou, as a new &quot;hidden stage&quot; performance form, premiered at the MGM Theater in Macau on December 15, 2024. Unlike traditional script-driven works, &quot;Macau 2049&quot; is derived from Zhang Yimou&#39;s previous stage play &quot;2047&quot; of the same theme. It consists of eight units composed of traditional Chinese intangible cultural heritage skills and high-tech stage creativity. Zhang Yimou brought the intangible cultural heritage &quot;Hua&#39;er&quot; (widely spread in China&#39;s Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia and Xinjiang provinces), &quot;Humming&quot; (a singing art created by the Mongolians), Miao songs and dances, Peking Opera, Yangko, Yi voice, lion dance and Shaanxi storytelling to the stage. The 5,000-year history of China collides with high technology, modern sound and light art, and the creativity of artists from different countries and regions, bursting out on the stage with colorful and dazzling light.

The theater at the new MGM Grand is truly impressive! The show, directed by Zhang Yimou, was truly spectacular, blending ethnic minorities with modern technology. It&#39;s a perfect place to bring children. It offers both an immersive experience of ethnic culture and a reflection and satire on modern technology. It was truly a fantastic show, well worth the effort!

During the final lion dance segment, they even throw a little MGM lion into the audience. If you sit in the front row, you can get one. We did!

No need to pick up a ticket, it&#39;s very quick from ticket checking to riding the Ferris wheel! My personal suggestion is to watch it at night if time permits, the night view is beautiful! Pay attention to the business hours and don&#39;t miss it!

You think that City of Dreams only has a Ferris wheel? Yes and no.
The Ferris wheel is in City of Dreams, while City of Dreams has a dancing water stream (although unfortunately, it is not open for the time being due to the epidemic). It upholds the unique characteristics of Macau complexes and is also a one-stop service for eating, drinking and having fun, and is extremely luxurious.
Here, first-line big brands are arranged in order, and there is no need to queue. There are also many designer brand stores, which are very design-oriented. Even the stores themselves are beautiful. From time to time, a limited luxury car will be parked for you in the atrium of the square to highlight your noble status.
As for eating, the shopping mall is much more friendly. Those stars and pearls are all in the hotel upstairs. The restaurant area on the second floor here, Starbucks, McDonald&#39;s, snacks and small snacks occupy a large area. You can come up to rest when you are tired.
Compared with the previous complexes, I personally think that City of Dreams has the strongest sense of design and the best looking.
