Maureen Gallace a painter of small unpopulated landscapes, with a particular focus on the New England coastline. Picking out humble and deserted vernacular buildings, Gallace paints windowless white houses, barns and beach shacks framed by trees or overlooking the seashore. These scenes seem idyllic but are tinged with a sense of unease – emptied of people, they seem solemn, lonely. Yet there is a solace in Gallace’s attentiveness, her repetitiveness: from the soft glow of evening sun to the cold glare of snow in winter, Gallace’s observations of her environs are distilled into something mesmerising. Her titles specify geographic points or temporal moments, and yet the feeling captured by these paintings, despite their intimate scale, is one of timelessness, vastness and universality. Critics have drawn connections between Gallace’s work and various figures from the history of American painting, and also poetry. But though she may share certain lyrical concerns with artistic and literary forebears, Gallace’s paintings are the product of a singular devoted vision, each one a unique rumination on stillness and structure.

On May 21, I took my parents to visit the British Museum. The tour guide was enthusiastic and professional. If I didn&#39;t have a tour guide, I might have finished the tour in half an hour. The main reason was that I didn&#39;t learn history and geography well. With the guide&#39;s explanation, the three hours passed very quickly. This is my second time to book Ctrip&#39;s tour guide service to visit the British Museum. I still feel unsatisfied. The first time I came, I also booked Ctrip&#39;s tour guide service, which was very good.

After watching the Buckingham Palace changing ceremony, we arrived at Westminster Abbey. There were a lot of people in the queue, about an hour and a half before entering the church. There is a interpreter at the door, you can choose Chinese. Follow the team and the interpreter is also explained. My favorite is the Matisse-style painting window. The staff in the church is very high quality and the temperament is very good, which is awe-inspiring.

Windsor Castle

The Queen&#39;s favorite palace is very luxurious inside, but you are not allowed to take photos, you can only take photos outside. When I entered, I took a photo but was stopped by the staff. Knowing the daily life of the royal family, Windsor Castle is generally very quiet.
