The Monthly 5am Writing Club at Kemptown Bookshop in Brighton is the perfect opportunity for local writers to dedicate time to their work in progress. Taking place on the first Wednesday of every month, this writing session offers a serene and inspiring environment to kickstart your writing morning. Starting at 5am, the bookshop opens its doors exclusively for the club members. You can join us at this time or arrive later, and stay for as long as you need. With limited tickets available, we recommend securing your spot early. Priced at £5, each ticket includes a hot or cold drink to keep you refreshed throughout the morning. You can also purchase additional drinks from our menu to keep your creative juices flowing. The local bakery delivers fresh pastries at 7am, providing an extra energy boost to fuel your writing. This session is all about silent writing, with no workshopping involved. However, the motivation of being surrounded by fellow writers as the sun rises is truly invaluable. The 5am Writing Club was initiated by Cathy Hayward, an accomplished author and our dedicated bookshop manager. Since its inception on the Summer Solstice in 2023, these sessions have gained immense popularity and are now a regular monthly fixture. Had my first date here with my partner and we hadthe best time. An amazing aquarium with abeautiful atmosphere, lights and gorgeouscreatures! I love animals and fish and seeing themhere was wonderful. Staff were lovely and veryknowledgeable. The place was clean, easy tonavigate and extremely ambient and beautiful. We went on a Thursday afternoon so was pretty quiet!

One of the best piers in the South of England. There is lots to do with tons of seaside rides, fun arcade games and food. Highly recommend catching the sunset here and if you&rsquo;re lucky you might catch the starlings dancing at dusk, I didn&rsquo;t know they do this and it was the most spectacular striking and stunning natural phenomenon I had seen, it was mesmerising. Highest chances of seeing the starlings dance is between November-March, we visited in early March
