Nathan Carter The Lord Be Praised Margaret Douroux The Morgan State University Choir is one of the nation’s most prestigious university choral ensembles. While classical, gospel, and contemporary popular music comprise the choir’s critically acclaimed repertoire, they are renowned for their emphasis on preserving spiritual heritage in their performances. The choir has performed with major symphony orchestras, including The Philadelphia Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, New York Philharmonic, and the National Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Eric Conway is the current Director of the Morgan State University Choir. Since 2004, he has led the choir through many notable performances, including a special performance at the service honoring Rosa Parks, the first woman to lie in honor at our nation’s Capital Rotunda. In 2015, at the request of First Lady Michelle Obama, the choir sang at the White House for a nationally televised concert in the East Room alongside Aretha Franklin, Shirley Caesar, and Tamela Mann. During the summer of 2018, the choir traveled to Slovakia, Germany, and Austria, where they sang in Vienna’s famed St. Mark's Cathedral. In the fall of the same year, the choir performed Leonard Bernstein’s Mass with the Peabody Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestra Marin Alsop. The choir has performed all over the world including in Greece, West Africa, Russia, South Africa, Canada, Colombia, China, Brazil, Argentina, Jamaica, Italy, Australia, Cuba, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Slovakia, Germany, England, Scotland, Wales, Peru, Ecuador, the Middle East, and the Galapagos Islands. Having shared their musical gifts on grand stages across the globe–with numerous dignitaries and celebrated performers– the Morgan State University Choir acts as a cultural ambassador for the City of Baltimore, the state of Maryland and the United States. The Hong Kong Women’s Choir is a registered charitable organization, founded by a group of dedicated women, both expatriates and from Hong Kong, with a common love of singing. Within this organization, there are two sister groups: NOVA, the core group of singers performing to accompaniment and The Grace Notes who sing a cappella (unaccompanied). Rehearsals are held weekly and fundraising concerts for local charities are run each year in May and December. As a registered charitable organization, the objectives of the choir are to perform (in our own concerts, at private functions and public venues) to raise funds for Hong Kong charitable concerns while bringing music to the Hong Kong public. Wan Chai is truly a place of contrasts! By day, it&#39;s like a living fossil of old Hong Kong: trams leisurely weave through skyscrapers, the aroma of milk tea wafts from corner tea restaurants, and wedding invitation shops on Lee Tung Street retain their old-world charm. Just around the corner is the brand-new, glass-walled Pacific Place, stylish and modern.

At night, it transforms instantly. Lockhart Road is ablaze with lights, a cacophony of languages ​​mingling in the bars. But a turn into Hac Im Street reveals quiet pubs and cafes where young people chat.

Here, the century-old Blue House stands alongside the trendiest design boutiques, and a traditional roast meat shop is next to a Michelin-starred restaurant. The clash between old and new is just right, offering surprises at every turn. Although traffic can be congested during rush hour and the MTR station can be a bit of a detour, this vibrant energy is the most authentic taste of Hong Kong.

Queen&#39;s Road is the first main coastal city center road built after the opening of Hong Kong. It is located on the north shore of Hong Kong Island. It extends from Shek Tong Tsui in Central and Western District to Happy Valley in Wan Chai District. It is about 5 kilometers long and is divided into three sections: Queen&#39;s Road West, Queen&#39;s Road Central and Queen&#39;s Road East.

Queen&#39;s Road was built in 1841 and opened to traffic in February 1842. Its English name is Queen&#39;s Road. It should have been translated as &quot;Queen&#39;s Road&quot;, but it was mistakenly translated as &quot;Queen&#39;s Road&quot;. As a result, it was mistakenly translated as &quot;Queen&#39;s Road&quot;. Although the authorities clarified the mistake in 1890, the wrong Chinese name of the road was finally used until now. During the Japanese colonial period in Hong Kong, Queen&#39;s Road was renamed &quot;Meiji-dori&quot;.

The park is perfect for families with young children. It&#39;s not very big, but there are many attractions suitable for younger kids! If you avoid holidays, you can easily see all the attractions in one day! We even went on some of the rides twice! Definitely worth a visit.

Hong Kong peak is the best peak and panoramic view of a city I have come across since Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. The general scenery of the area is wonderful and unmatched. I went both at night and during the day. I would highly recommend night time as it looks so much better and the bakehouse cafe is much easier to get a space in while you look at Hong Kong

It was truly a worthwhile trip! I&#39;d been looking forward to the Hong Kong Palace Museum for so long. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the final exhibition hall, Hall 7, was particularly special, offering a truly immersive experience. I saw so many exquisite pieces from the Ming and Qing dynasties, each one captivating and making me reluctant to leave. There&#39;s a viewing platform on the third floor with a beautiful view, perfect for taking photos. Go early to enjoy the sea view before the museum opens, watching the ships go by and feeling the sea breeze &ndash; it&#39;s so relaxing! Remember to arrive early and allow plenty of time, as you&#39;ll need a significant amount of time to appreciate the collection.
