Her remarkable books include All the Fires of Wind and Light (Sixteen Rivers Press; 2020 PEN Oakland/Josephine Miles Literary Award) and Keel Bone (Bear Star Press; Dorothy Brunsman Poetry Prize). Maya is the recipient of the prestigious 2023 Fund for Wild Nature Grassroots Activist Award and the co-winner of the Environmentalist of the Year Award from the 2020 Sonoma County Conservation Council (SCCC).

Maya Khosla's impactful work has been featured in For the Wild and has been an integral part of award-winning documentary films, including Village of Dust, City of Water, which sheds light on the water crises in rural India.
