The Three-Horse Carriage Band was founded in 1998, with members Yi Xianming, Zhao Fenglei, Yang Jichun, Yang Jihong, and Yi Yanzi. The band has over 3 million fans online. Among the band members, the youngest is 25 years old while the oldest is 61.
In 1998, three music-loving young men from Luzhou, Sichuan—Yi Xianming, Zhao Fenglei, and Yang Jichun—formed a band with their saxophone, guitar, and violin. United by their shared passion for motorcycles and the practicality of traveling to gigs, each bought a motorcycle, inspiring the band's name, "Troika." Later, the addition of cellist Yang Jihong and ruan player Yi Yanzi infused fresh energy into the group.
