National Flash Fiction Day 2025 Join us for a celebration of flash fiction and the launch of National Flash Fiction Day's 2025 anthology on 14 June 2025. This is an in-person event lasting from 10:00 a.m. — 4:30 p.m. BST, taking place in Bath at Widcombe Social Club, Widcombe Hill, Bath BA2 6AA. Schedule The day consists of: 10:00 - Welcome10:15 - Workshop with NFFD Co-Director Ingrid Jendrzejewski11:40 - Panel hosted by Diane Simmons with Karen Jones, Jude Higgins and Kathryn Aldridge-Morris12:20 - Break for lunch (not provided; see below)1:20 - Workshop with Susmita Bhattacharya2:30 - Launch of the 2025 NFFD Anthology, complete with readings from anthology authors4:30 - Wrap up.Afterwards - Feel free to join us afterwards at The Cosy Club for food, drink and chat.Please note: timings are subject to change. These tickets are for people who wish to attend the entire day's event. If you are interested in just some of the offerings, please email us at nationalflashfictionday@gmail.com instead of booking this ticket so that we can ensure as many people as possible are able to enjoy the day's offerings. Free Tickets and Tickets with Donations: This event is offered free to all, but costs around £20 per person to run. If you are in a position to make a donation of any amount, we would be most grateful. The cost of running such an event has gone up drastically in the past few years, whilst our online reach has decreased dramatically due to changes in social media platforms. Any amount you can spare, however small, would make a tremendous difference to this volunteer-run project. However, please feel very welcome to attend whether or not you donate. There is no difference in between tickets that are free and tickets with donations. You only need to book one ticket (either a ticket with a donation or a ticket without a donation) to reserve your space. Programme details: Seasons of Change: The Nature of Flash Workshop with Ingrid Jendrzejewski 10:15 — 11:30 a.m. In this workshop, we'll approach the topic of transition, transformation and change from four different angles, with a nod to this year's anthology theme of 'seasons'. Bring a pen and paper! Writers of all backgrounds and levels of experience are warmly welcome. Open Season A Flash Fiction Panel Discussion hosted by Diane Simmons 11:40 a.m. — 12:20 p.m. NFFD's own Diane Simmons chats with flash writers and editors Karen Jones, Jude Higgins and Kathryn Aldridge-Morris. Workshop with Susmita Bhattacharya (Details to be announced) 1:20 — 2:20 p.m. 2025 National Flash Fiction Day Anthology Launch Readings from the 2025 National Flash Fiction Day Anthology 2:30 — 4:30 p.m. Celebrate the launch of the newest National Flash Fiction Day Anthology with us as we hear selections from the anthology read by some of this year's authors and Microfiction Competition winners. Lunch is not provided, but there are several supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and delis all within a very short walk. We cannot bring food into the building, but there are nice places to picnic in the vicinity, including nearby seating areas and the canal. Post-launch Festivities: After the launch, some of us will retire to a local bar/restaurant where we have booked a private space. Feel free to join us! I enjoyed a day at Thermea! It&rsquo;s true &hellip; this is not a quiet spa! But we didn&rsquo;t mind that as we like to chat as well. At other spas we&rsquo;ve been to there is little or quiet chatter and people are often asked to stay quiet. At Thermea guests can get pretty loud in the hot springs or by the fire. The car shuttled through the streets and alleys of Bath, and it turned out that this is the hometown of &quot;Jane Austen&quot;, the female writer who wrote &quot;Pride and Prejudice&quot;. Bath&#39;s most famous attraction is also one of the most magnificent Georgian buildings in the UK. The Crescent Building is a group of 30 connected houses. It looks like a crescent moon from the distant mountains, and it echoes the circus, which represents the sun. There is a lawn for tourists and local residents to rest and play.

House No. 1 is a museum (don&#39;t go if you don&#39;t want to go), two houses in the middle have been converted into hotels (very expensive), and the rest are private property. It&#39;s very beautiful when the sun is full~
