The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Class is an eight-hour course that aims to equip participants with the essential knowledge, skills, and attitude needed for the identification, safe handling, and storage of firearms. This course covers a wide range of topics, including gun safety rules, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, two-handed shooting positions, and shooting range safety.

During the course, students will have the opportunity to engage in live fire training and complete a nationally standardized shooting qualification, all under the guidance of an NRA Certified Instructor. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded a course completion certificate.

To participate in the class, it is required that participants bring a properly functioning handgun, 150 rounds of ammunition, and eye and ear protection. However, for those who do not have their own firearm or ammunition, rentals are available for an additional fee.

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Class will take place at the APHF Shooting Center in Titusville, located at 6350 Horizon Drive, Titusville, FL 32780. The class is scheduled on December 19, 2023. The ticket price for this comprehensive course is $149.00 per person.
