The Okutama Summer Fireworks Festival held in Okutama, Tokyo, is one of the few fireworks festivals in Tokyo where you can enjoy fireworks amidst the natural scenery of the mountains. About 1,000 fireworks are launched from the top of Mt. Atago, dyeing the night sky with brilliant colors. At the fireworks festivals held at the same time at Okukawa Shrine and Haguro Mita Shrine, you can enjoy traditional lion dances and mikoshi parades and experience local culture.
