Come join us for a night of fun and dancing at the 
Granby Theater with DJ Nakylla!
 Get ready to dance the night away under the rainbow lights and wicked beats. This is a night you won't want to miss!
Put on your best outfit and get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime. Don't forget to bring your friends along for a night of laughter and good times. See you there!
Rainbow Prom is a place where local LGBTQ+ youth (ages 13-19) can show up as their authentic selves and celebrate their relationships and self-expression in an affirming space.
Come dance the night away with your besties, partners, and/or chosen family! Or come solo and meet some new friends! In addition to having 
DJ Nakylla
 spinning the best teen dance beats, we will have delicious finger foods catered by the Granby Theater and contests for:
Most Classy, Most Fabulous, Best Dancer, Most Colorful & Best Runway Walk
General admission
 is $30 per person, which you can purchase through this page. Capacity is limited, so don't wait too long to get your ticket! You won't want to miss this event!!

 We understand that these costs can be barriers for some youth to participate in prom, so fear not! Please email pflaghr@gmail.com to be considered for free tickets.
This event is being organized by PFLAG Hampton Roads, the LGBT Life Center, and local high school GSAs (Gender & Sexuality Alliances; Gay/Straight Alliances). It is also graciously being sponsored by Dominion Energy.

Explore the &quot;Mount Fuji&quot; of the Southern Hemisphere - Mount Egmont in New Plymouth
New Plymouth, a city on the west coast of New Zealand&#39;s North Island, is not only the capital of Tananaqi Province, but also the only seaport city on the west coast. It is a sister city with Kunming in my country and Mishima in Japan, sharing the bond of culture and friendship.
🌈 Attractions
Mount Egmont, known as the most perfect volcano in New Zealand, stands proudly at an altitude of 2,518 meters. It is surrounded by a vast plain. No matter from which angle you look, you can feel the visual shock as if you are under Mount Fuji. Mount Egmont has a history of 120,000 years, and the last eruption was in 1775. Volcanologists believe that it is currently in a &quot;dormant&quot; state, not dead, which makes it full of mystery and expectations.
🌋 History and Culture
The legend of Mount Egmont is equally fascinating. Legend has it that Mount Taranaki was once part of the Tongariro volcanic group, but was discovered by Tongariro when it was having a tryst with Tongariro&#39;s lover, the Pihanga volcano on Lake Taupo. Mount Taranaki fled south in shame, leaving behind the scar of the Wanganui River. From then on, it guarded the land alone, as if hiding its sadness in a cloud of tears.
🕒 Scenic Area Opening Hours
The Mount Egmont Scenic Area is open all year round. Even in summer, visitors can enjoy the snow on the top of the mountain and experience the changes of the four seasons.
🚶&zwj;♂️ Route Recommendation
It is recommended to start from the Mangorei Track Trailhead and climb along the Pouakai Track and Tarn. This path has both gentle sections and 45-degree steep stairs. When you see the Pouakai Hut, it means you are about to reach the top of the mountain, and the view there will make your hard climb worthwhile.

Don&#39;t forget to take sun protection measures while exploring Mount Egmont. New Zealand&#39;s ultraviolet rays are very strong, and protecting your skin is an important part of enjoying your trip.
