Peer Matters is an artist-led development programme, supported by Photoworks. As part of the 2024 Weekender, the fifteen participating artists are staging a collaboratively-shaped exhibition ‘(un)common outcomes’, and a programme of six free events on Saturday 26 October. Throughout the day, and against the backdrop of ‘nothing is fixed’, a growing installation of images that will hold the workshop outcomes in the form of imagery, text and notes. We invite you to take part in any of the workshops as a meeting point to share process and practice. Afternoon - messy conversations 2pm - 3pm Persistent Stickiness with Alexandra Davenport - how do we continue to make work, collaborate and research whilst also ‘doing’ life? 3pm - 3.30pm nothing is fixed - a grown installation (no booking needed)- come together around nothing is fixed to discuss themes that have surfaced within the roundtables on process, slowness and mistakes. This is a final chance to add to and reshape the installation, as well as an invitation to take away ‘scaffolding’ to form new ways of learning and making work for themselves, rooted in the value of collective, peer-to-peer dialogue and relationships.

Perhaps the plan is to move to Gatwick Airport where the divide between North and South galleries might be easily replicated in the North and South Terminals. In the South gallery are currently situated two wooden tents in which films by one Kannan Arunasalam are showing events of exquisite funkiness involving disappearing Tamil terrorists or freedom fighters or Brexiteers depending on one&rsquo;s viewpoint in 2009. In the North the windows have colourful glazed tiles courtesy of one Fiona Grady whilst lectures on stained glass windows or stained glass Tamils continue regardless

Had my first date here with my partner and we hadthe best time. An amazing aquarium with abeautiful atmosphere, lights and gorgeouscreatures! I love animals and fish and seeing themhere was wonderful. Staff were lovely and veryknowledgeable. The place was clean, easy tonavigate and extremely ambient and beautiful. We went on a Thursday afternoon so was pretty quiet!

One of the best piers in the South of England. There is lots to do with tons of seaside rides, fun arcade games and food. Highly recommend catching the sunset here and if you&rsquo;re lucky you might catch the starlings dancing at dusk, I didn&rsquo;t know they do this and it was the most spectacular striking and stunning natural phenomenon I had seen, it was mesmerising. Highest chances of seeing the starlings dance is between November-March, we visited in early March
