In the swinging 60s, Arnold, known as Patricia Ann Cole at the time, embarked on a journey to escape her troubled home life in LA. As an Ikette with the Ike and Tina Turner Revue, she traveled the world and found herself in London. It was there that she crossed paths with a young Mick Jagger, who introduced her to influential rock magnate Andrew Loog Oldham. This encounter sparked Arnold's solo career in the UK.

Meanwhile, Gered Mankowitz had already established himself as a prolific photographer within the rock and roll scene. Working out of his studio in Mason's Yard, he had captured iconic images of legends like the Yardbirds, Jimi Hendrix, and the Rolling Stones. It was during this time that Mankowitz and Arnold first connected, forging a professional relationship that would yield some of the photographer's most striking work. Their friendship endured throughout the years.

At the Iconic Images Gallery, Mankowitz and Arnold will share insights into their experiences as working artists in 60s London. This transit trip in London was hastily arranged, and I only booked tickets for West End musicals 10 days in advance and fell into a trap. Let me share my blood and tears.
The first half-pitfall blood and tears in June: I booked tickets for the Phantom of the Opera in June 2023 two months in advance, and I was lucky enough to book the last two rows of seats on the first floor Royal circle. When I arrived at the scene, I found that there were two pillars in front, and some scenes required constant left and right angles to watch the show. If I was willing to cooperate, the overall viewing of the show was not affected.
The latest blood and tears in November: I booked tickets for Les Miserables 10 days in advance, and there were no tickets left on the first and second floors. The only seat I booked, Grand Circle B4, showed Restricted Side View. When I arrived at the scene, it was weird. I couldn&#39;t see the lead singer&#39;s face for more than 80% of the time. In the end, I was so tired that I just listened to the music and was too lazy to bend down to find the angle.
The cast, choreography, and music of Les Miserables were all perfect, but I chose a bad seat, which was really tragic.
If you can&#39;t choose a good seat, don&#39;t force yourself to book a ticket. It&#39;s better to rush ticket on the day than to go there like I did.
