Join the Pop Art Pet Portraits workshop in Town of Rockingham on February 11, 2024. Led by artist Mindy Fisher, this class offers attendees the opportunity to create a unique piece of art featuring their beloved pets. Participants will work from a reference photo to paint a portrait using acryla-gouache on an 8x8 panel. The highly pigmented, water-based paint provides vibrant colors and dries to a matte finish. In this class, Mindy will guide students through various steps including introducing each other and our subject matter, sketching out the composition, selecting a color palette, and color blocking and outlining. Attendees are required to bring a photo of their pet, either printed out or on their phone. As acryla-gouache is permanent, it is advised to wear clothing that can get dirty or bring a smock or apron. 

This workshop is recommended for ages 8 and up, although younger kids are welcome with a guardian. The class size is limited to 5 attendees to ensure a personalized experience. Participants typically complete their projects in about two hours.
