Cristina Malakhai will be presenting her new EP "MALA PELL" live in Barcelona. This EP showcases her Catalan vocals with influences of R&B, Urban, and Edm from Los Angeles. "Mala Pell" is Cristina Malakhai's first EP in Catalan, a bold and innovative proposal that represents her artistic evolution and fusion resulting from her work in Los Angeles. It is a captivating blend of sensuality, freshness, and boldness, featuring sweet and rebellious vocals, sophisticated and daring lyrics. With a blend of Pop R&B and urban HipHop, EDM, Drum & Bass, and Synths LoFi, the EP's bassline and beats are remarkable. Additionally, she treats listeners to a track where she sings and raps accompanied only by a piano. Passionate, challenging, and bittersweet, Cristina has built an unforgettable bridge between the two cities she calls home, with a strong motivation to create more music in her homeland. The EP "Mala Pell" is related to her city with its saying "Sabadell, Mala Pell". Cristina has brought the sound she has been working on in Los Angeles and added Catalan lyrics to bring it home. The EP features collaborations with producers and engineers based in Barcelona and Los Angeles, such as Kleoz, Jordi del Moral, Marc Ferrando, Pablo Mirete, and Rob Jiménez, who contributed to its unique sound. Two singles from the EP, "Pluja" and "La Veritat," have been released with accompanying music videos. The first was directed by Gigi Carapia, a Mexican filmmaker based in Barcelona, known for his work in the urban genre in Spain. The second was directed by Irish director Mark E Murray, known for his work with U2, Rihanna, The Cranberries, and Game of Thrones. The video is vibrant, with a Mediterranean-inspired garden and draws inspiration from the character Ophelia from Hamlet. Cristina Malakhai is a singer, songwriter, producer, radio host, and actress from Barcelona. She has previously toured with over 100 concerts in Europe and the United States. She is a voting member of the Latin GRAMMY Academy and a graduate of Independent Music Production from UCLA. Currently, she is working with producer Marcus "Bellringer" Bell on new releases and has already received multiple awards and nominations in film festivals in Los Angeles and Latin America. She has also collaborated with artists and producers from Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Argentina.
