Inspired by the work of skilled printmaker Alick Tipoti on display in our exhibition Mariw Minaral, join us for a child-friendly printmaking session. We’ll explore pattern and sea creatures, using safe block printmaking techniques to create an underwater scene influenced by printmaking traditions from the Torres Strait Islands. This workshop suits children aged 8 and over who enjoy creativity, making art and concentrating. It is designed for children to be dropped off at the beginning of the session and picked up at the end. Bookings are essential. Special InstructionsWe'll be using art materials and may get messy. Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting stained. Please be aware that no food or drink can be consumed inside the Museum. Water in a tightly sealed bottle is permitted. Please bring everything your child/ren will need for the duration of the workshop, including any required medications. Please let us know if you or your child have any special needs that we might need to prepare for by calling the Public Engagement and Education Officer on 02 6393 8444. Orange City Council, including the Museum, is a Child Safe organisation.
