The Kung Fu drama "Legend of Kung Fu 2," produced by China Tourism Group, will premiere on October 1st at the Quanzhou Theater, located next to the Bell Tower on West Street in Quanzhou's ancient city. With over 10,000 performances worldwide, "Legend of Kung Fu" has earned a wide audience and a proven reputation for artistic excellence. This visual and auditory feast, blending the DNA of an international IP with the essence of local culture, will offer a unique holiday cultural experience for local residents and visitors.
This new adaptation of the classic stage play "The Legend of Kung Fu" centers on the story of Chunyi, a young monk, as he grows from a naive youth to a master, exploring themes of growth and self-improvement. The original production has long been acclaimed worldwide for its exceptional performances. It is a Chinese production that has embraced the Broadway model, having performed over 10,000 times in Beijing, and has also enjoyed a long-running run at the Branson White House Theatre in the United States, as well as on Broadway and in Las Vegas. It even set a record in London's West End with a 27-show streak in 19 days, making it a shining example of Chinese culture's global reach.
The 2.0 version was launched in Quanzhou. It not only retains the essence of Chinese martial arts, but also focuses on presenting the Five Ancestors Fist of Quanzhou Southern Fist. At the same time, it integrates highly ornamental art forms such as dance, acrobatics, and magic. A 25-minute bus ride from the West Gate leads directly to Nantai Rock. The journey, including stops for meals and rest, took about four hours. Qingyuan Mountain has been developed since the Qin Dynasty, leaving behind a wealth of cultural relics and historical sites throughout the ages. Currently, there are seven well-preserved large-scale stone sculptures (9 statues) from the Song and Yuan Dynasties, representing Taoism and Buddhism. The most famous is the Laozi statue at Laojun Rock, which is the largest and oldest existing Taoist stone sculpture in China.

- Initial Construction: During the Xiantong era of the Tang Dynasty (860-874 AD), it was originally a five-story wooden pagoda.

- Reconstruction: After several periods of prosperity and decline, it was damaged and rebuilt as a brick pagoda.

- Completion: In the second year of the Jiaxi era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1238 AD), it was rebuilt as a stone pagoda. After twelve years of construction, it was officially completed in the tenth year of the Chunyou era (1250 AD).

- Completion: Rebuilt as a stone pagoda in 1228 (the first year of the Shaoding reign of the Southern Song Dynasty), and completed in 1237 (the first year of the Jiaxi reign), approximately thirteen years earlier than the completion of the East Pagoda.

Although the East and West Pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple were initially built in the Tang and Five Dynasties periods, the main structure of the stone pagodas we see today was completed during the Southern Song Dynasty.

A great place for families, with three shows. The puppeteers performed with great care, and the children were engrossed. At the end, the puppeteers gave a teaching session, and the audience could try to control the puppets. The rooftop view at night is beautiful, and you can check it out.

How could you visit Quanzhou without a trip to the South Shaolin Temple? I rushed to catch a taxi and made it to the Sunday afternoon show at 4:30 PM. The temple isn&#39;t very large, so don&#39;t allow too much time; 1-2 hours is enough. The performing monks were very dedicated; the youngest was probably only 3-4 years old. They were very endearing, but it was also touching to see them working so hard at such a young age, the same age as my son. Overall, it was a great experience. There&#39;s a Buddhist supplies shop nearby after the performance; you might want to check it out.

The teahouse in Wudian City is a place where you can watch puppet shows. It is worth it. I watched wonderful puppet shows, including &quot;Little Bald Head Goes Down the Mountain&quot;, &quot;Daming Mansion&quot;, and &quot;Wu Song Fights the Tiger&quot;. I learned puppetry skills and can also experience puppetry. The intangible cultural heritage is worth watching. The service is also very good and the water is added in a timely manner.
