Recognized as one of the leading voices of his generation,Rashid Johnson’s new works in this exhibition at ourParis gallery, which span painting, sculpture and film, demonstrate the artist’s longstanding interest in the concepts of interiority and self-reflection. The exhibition marks the gallery debut of two new bodies of painting, the closely-related Soul Paintings and God Paintings, both series that Johnson has developed over the past year. Alongside and evolving out of the works on canvas are two new series of bronze sculptures, their roughly-modeled surfaces bearing witness to the artist’s hand in a way that has dominated his sculptural practice in recent years. Also on display is the artist’s latest film, ‘Sanguine,’ exploring relationships of attention and care among three generations of the artist's family: his father, himself and his son. Continuing to expand his distinctive visual lexicon, this exhibition exemplifies the artist’s interest in animism, the belief in which all things, including inanimate objects, have souls. Through the concept of animism, the artist connects to a reality beyond the physical, building an expansive vision of the universe in which all objects, including the paintings and sculptures on view, are imbued with spiritual life.

Great place to visit but can get very crowded around the &quot;must sees&quot; I would highly recommended at least a 2pm slot as the museum is massive and it&#39;ll take a long time to go through all the wings. I went for the 7pm slot and didn&#39;t realise how big it was. Only managed to go through one wing before it closed!

Notre Dame de Paris is worth visiting. It has a magnificent architectural project and a long history. French writer Victor Hugo devoted himself to describing the historical stories that took place here, attracting tourists from all over the world.

Visiting the Palace of Versailles was an amazing experience, but there are a few things to keep in mind. The palace is about an hour away from the city by train. The gardens are super vast, so be prepared for a lot of walking (suggest to rent a bicycle, golf car or take the shuttle train🤔). There is no need to add the musical show to your ticket if it&rsquo;s scheduled during your visit&mdash;it was free when I went on april. Also, bring some food with you, as dining options inside can be limited and pricey.Keep in mind that once your ticket is scanned, you can only enter the palace once. Make sure to explore the entire palace before stepping out. I arrived 2&ndash;3 hours later than my booking time but was still able to enter without any issues. Be prepared for long queues, especially during peak hours.Overall, it was worth the visit despite the minor inconveniences!
